Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy in the Western Hemisphere, Kerri Hannan visits Instituto Cultural Domínico Americano

Our institution received the visit of the Deputy Assistant Secretary Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs, Ms. Kerri Hannan, in order to learn about the history, structure, academic offerings and future plans of the units that make up the ICDA.

Ms. Hannan was received by Mr. Ramon Sosa, ICDA’s Executive Director, and Mr. Leonardo Santoni, representing the Board of Directors, and had the opportunity to meet the leadership team, as well as the different areas that make up the institution: the renovated Patrick N. Hughson Auditorium, the Student Plaza, the Lincoln Library, the EducationUSA Office, the American English Lounge, the Makerspace, the Podcast Studio, among others.

The meeting was also attended by Janel Heird, Public Diplomacy Officer for the Dominican Republic; Timothy Brown, Acting Public Affairs Counselor; Alexander López, English Programs Coordinator; and Joshabel de la Cruz, Emerging Voices Specialist at the U.S. Embassy in Santo Domingo.

Also participating on behalf of the institution were Dr. Laura Reyes, Academic Vice Chancellor of Universidad Domínico Americano (UNICDA); Linda Mauad, Domínico Americano School Director; Robert Valcin, Language School Director; Karlans Camacho, Continuing Education and Teacher Development Center Coordinator; and Alicia Carlo, Customer Relationship Director.
