Language School of the Instituto Cultural Dominico Americano (ICDA)
offers an exclusive Diagnostic Evaluation, which allows the user, through a standardized test, to identify their real language skills based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
To ensure accurate and reliable results, our qualified evaluators follow a rigorous assessment process, supported by the renowned Placement Test from National Geographic Learning, developed by linguistic assessment experts and internationally validated.
What does the Diagnostic Evaluation measure?
Reading comprehension
Listening comprehension
Grammar and appropriate use of structure (Grammar & Usage)
Oral expression (Speaking sample)
Main Features
Adaptive: the level of difficulty adjusts according to the student’s performance, offering a fairer and more personalized measurement.
Reliable and validated: the exam has been internationally tested to place the student at the correct level of the CEFR, from Pre-A1 to C1.
Immediate results: the student receives a clear report of their level, allowing placement in the course that best fits their needs.
Important to note
The Diagnostic Evaluation is an exclusive service of ICDA and its use is strictly academic, with the purpose of correctly placing each student within the CEFR or in our English program.
Although part of the tool is supported by National Geographic Learning, the results of this evaluation do not constitute an internationally certified exam such as IELTS or TOEFL, but rather an institutional diagnostic instrument.
