The Language School of the Instituto Cultural Domínico Americano celebrates graduation
In an atmosphere filled with emotion and pride, the graduation ceremony of the Language School of the Domínico Americano took place at the Patrick N. Hughson auditorium. The day began with the solemnity of the National Anthems and the procession of the graduates, marking the beginning of a memorable evening for the students, teachers, and family members present.
Mr. Darío Lama, President of the Board of Directors of the Instituto Cultural Dominico Americano (ICDA), delivered the welcome address, emphasizing the dedication and effort of the graduates throughout their academic journey.
During the event, outstanding students delivered speeches in different categories: Karla Daniela Noboa for the Playful category, Junior Génesis Alejandra Hugeux Rivera, and Alexa Itamar Vargas Nolasco for the Adult category. They expressed gratitude and celebrated the challenges overcome during their English language learning.
The presentation of diplomas and honors was a particularly emotional moment, where each graduate was recognized for their academic achievements. The graduates themselves expressed their thanks and commitment, acknowledging their families, teachers, and friends who supported them on this educational journey.
Robert Valcin, Director of the Language School, concluded the ceremony with words of encouragement and motivation for the graduates, urging them to continue pursuing their goals with determination and a passion for learning.
The event also featured artistic performances that added a cultural and festive touch, such as the Julio Alberto Hernández Male Choir, directed by Henry Cordero, who delighted the audience with their talent and harmony.
With this graduation, the Language School of the Domínico Americano not only celebrates the academic success of its students but also reaffirms its commitment to educational excellence and the comprehensive development of Dominican children, youth, and adults.
The Domínico Americano community celebrates this day with the satisfaction of having witnessed a significant milestone in the lives of its graduates, who are now prepared to face new challenges with proficiency in the English language as a fundamental tool for their future paths.
